Before anything, I know that a lot of art teachers do not consider anime to be art. Nevertheless, I still am going to draw it in my spare time. This was drawn in photoshop, using a flat square brush. I tried to use a more paint like technique but if you look closely you can see it is just a mixture of shading and highlights.

The character above is named Hanako, based off of Japanese folklore of the ghost Hanako-san. He exists in an old school amongst other ‘supernaturals’. The reason for this being that the school has certain rips that form bridges between the living and the afterlife. Of course, this brings its fair share of problems and enemies. So he and his other supernatural try to get rid of any evil spirits and watch over the school. It is an oversimplification, but I feel like if I try to explain it more thoroughly it would turn into a blog instead of an excerpt.
