Double Exposure Effect

These two photos are my double exposure effect images. Each provides a different feeling and both photos used different techniques. One of these techniques is masking, I used one of the selection tools to get an outline of the subject and then created a mask in which I manipulated to hold the picture within.

This project was the midterm for my design course. The hardest one to do was probably the first picture, I had to erase part of her head that was in the mask and duplicate the image. This created the affect that her head fades into a forest. I was inspired by the idea of mother nature and nymphs. For the second image I was going for a more clean cut feeling, buildings leading straight up and guiding the eyes to the head. If you notice your eyes automatically go to his head because its darker than the rest of the image; contrast.
